Business Tip Of The Month Do You Know Where You Are Going? "The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities." - Stephen Covey When I started applying this to my business, it exploded. Too many of us get caught up in the habit of getting stuff done just because it is there and we lose sight of what we really want to accomplish. This month, take yourself to a coffee shop for an uninterrupted hour (no phone, no email) and bring a pad and pen with you. Write down exactly what you want for yourself this coming year and don't be shy about it. Define what is important to you. Is it more balance in your life? Great - be very specific about what this will look like. For example: I will attend an exercise class on Tuesday and Thursday nights every week at the YWCA and I will have 1 massage per month on the second Saturday morning. Then pull out your calendar and schedule these in right away. You want to increase your sales? Ask yourself - What actions do I need to take to accomplish this and by when? For example: I will attend 4 new networking events per month and I will make 10 calls to new prospects from 9 to 10AM Monday through Friday. Then mark it into your calendar right now.
