Vision 2009 - Review of 2008 Key Initiatives
The Chamber spent most of 2008 re-positioning itself in the region as an important business resource and partner. In Vision 2008, we mapped out ten (10) initiatives that we believed were important to the chamber and its members and the results are as follows:
- increase membership – Successful & Ongoing!
- increase and sustain revenues – Successful & Ongoing!
- increase visibility for the chamber and its members in locally and in the areas bordered by our community (Tri-Cities, Langley, Surrey and Mission / Abbotsford) – Successful & Ongoing!
- assess and report on “Gateway” and its effect on the local business community – Successful & Ongoing!
- reconnect with community stakeholders and create open and respectful dialogue – Completed!
- leverage our position and membership numbers to force policy change - Ongoing!
- add product and service offerings that benefit members daily – Successful & Ongoing!
- create events and networking opportunities to recognize and connect members and non-members to each other and the consumers in the community – Successful & Ongoing!
- provide business development solutions for all business types and business professionals – Successful & Ongoing!
- ensure highest level of member satisfaction – Successful & Ongoing!
